Our Student Leaders are from across each Zone within the school.

- 10 pupils from various classes in Zone 1

- 11 pupils from various classes in Zone 2

- 9 pupils from various classes in 6th Form
The Student Council
Our 2021/2022 Student Council consists of 30 student leaders representing each Key Stage and Zone within The Beacon. They meet termly to discuss key issues raised by students in their cohort.
Recent additions/ideas about our school that have been a result of Student Council have been:
- Outside areas to give pupils shade and a place to sit on our grass areas
- Changes to the school menus through meeting with John (Kitchen Manager). The following points he agreed to action were thicker gravy and a more of a variety on the salad bar, possibly adding sweetcorn and celery.
- Making plans and suggestions to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee
- Zone 1 – Students are making suggestions towards the design of the Discovery Garden
- Zone 3 – Voted on Demelza House as the Charity for their zone.
